Incite Software Solutions wins 5 year contract for Korean Army C4I Messaging solution

Richmond, BC, 2 April, 2004

After over 18 months of competitive testing and proof of concept, Incite Software Solutions has inked a deal to provide a DMS compliant messaging backbone to the Korean Defense. The decision was made after extensive evaluation, and was based on Incite's messaging servers inherent reliability, flexibility and interoperability. Work on the C4I messaging system is now underway, and will continue through at least 2008.

C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) forms the nucleus of the Korean and Allied military requirements for information delivery in both day-to-day and battlefield situations. Although C4I will be managed centrally, it will be deployed as a decentralized application across the spectrum of theatre operations. Incite Messaging Server's capabilities in audit trails, security and uptime are essential to effective military messaging, and in conjunction with a custom directory, will simplify and increase the effectiveness of communications with the Korean Defense. The desire to achieve the necessary functional requirements was coupled with the desire to deliver the new system using COTS components where possible - and this is something that Incite was able to do.

Every five years, the Japanese government reviews and evaluates its IT infrastructure to determine what changes and additions must be made in the coming years. As part of this review, the government closely scrutinized the existing Incite infrastructure and found it to be the ideal foundation on which KWAN will continue to grow through at least 2007.

This represents a significant step for Incite Software and sends a clear signal to existing and future customers that they intend to build on a successful track record in high performance messaging. Incite Software will continue to produce 'install-and- forget' solutions through superior delivery of messaging solutions. Long-term military commitments from Korea and other Allied nations around the world also give Incite and its customers the assurance that the company has the financial and technical backing to deliver long into the future.

"Messaging and e-mail is becoming more than simply an IT function", Ron Aspe, CEO and President of Incite Software said. "Both our military and enterprise customers are beginning to realise that popular platforms are expensive to buy, their scalability is poor, they are difficult to maintain and the amounts of harmful mail directed toward the most popular platforms is rendering them untenable at the enterprise level. The gap between our government/military and enterprise customers has now closed. They all want reliability, rock-solid performance, reasonable licensing and little or no visible impact to their users".
